THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Additional District Sessions Court in Thiruvananthapuram granted anticipatory bail to a Youth Congress worker in the AKG centre attack case. The court granted conditional bail to Youth Congress worker T Navya, the fourth accused in the AKG Centre attack case. After granting bail, the court asked her to appear before the investigating officer between November 24th and 30th. It also asked her to produce her passport in court within a week. According to the court, she would be granted bail after posting a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh if the investigation team records her arrest.
Opposing the bail plea, the prosecution argued that Navya, who was the UDF candidate of Atitpra ward in the last municipal elections, was the main link in the AKG Centre attack case and was involved in the conspiracy. The police had found that Navya was the one who delivered the scooter to Jithin to travel to the AKG Centre and carry out the attack.
