Printing mistake in Christmas-New Year Bumper; should be corrected, says lottery department

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The lottery department informed that there is a printing mistake in the lottery ticket of this year’s Christmas-New Year Bumper. In the prize structure attached to the design on the back side of the tickets reached for sale of BR 89 lottery, it is wrongly printed that the last five numbers must be drawn 72 times in the fourth prize. The lottery department has informed to read as that the last four numbers must be drawn 72 times.


The Christmas New Year bumper is the second highest prize money in the history of the Kerala lottery. The first prize is 16 crores. The second prize is Rs 1 crore to ten people and the third prize is Rs 1 lakh to 20 people. The ticket price is Rs 400. The draw will be held on January 19 in 2023.
