NEW DELHI: Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena had order AAP to pay Rs 97 crore spent for state government ads used for the party’s promotion. Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar was given instructions in this regard by Lieutenant Governor. The order is to recover the money spent five years ago.

Meanwhile, AAP responded that the Lieutenant Governor has no power to issue such orders and called it as ‘a new love letter’. “The BJP ruling various state governments have published advertisements in Delhi. When will Rs 22,000 spent on ads be recovered from them? The day that money is recovered, we will also give Rs 97 crore.”, stated AAP MLA Saurabh Bharadwaj.

“The BJP is flustered that we have become a national party and had taken power from them in the Municipal corporation elections. L-G saheb is doing everything in accordance with the BJP's directions, and that is troubling the people of Delhi. The more worried Delhi's people are, the happier the BJP gets.", he added.
