MEXICO CITY: Fourteen people were killed in a firing inside a jail in Mexico. Ten security personnel and four prisoners were killed. The shooting took place at a prison in the northern Mexican city of Ciudad Juarez.
The attack was carried out by a group who entered the jail along with some who came to visit the prisoners. Reports said 24 prisoners had escaped from the jail. Officials informed that miscreants reached the premises of the prison in vehicles loaded with weapons and a detailed investigation is being conducted into the incident.
