KOLKATA: The Vande Bharat Express, which was launched to change the face of Indian Railways, was attacked by miscreants in West Bengal. The attack took place on the fourth day of the operation on the nation's seventh Vande Bharat train. Despite his mother's death, the Prime Minister virtually flagged off this Vande Bharat train without postponing it. The train was pelted with stones near Kumarganj station in Malda, West Bengal.
Due to stone pelting, window panes of Vande Bharat Express were broken. The passengers were not injured in the attack. The attack happened around 5:30 in the evening as the train was running towards Howrah. The railway authorities said that a detailed investigation will be conducted into the incident. Vande Bharat trains in other parts of the nation also encountered mishaps as they rammed into cattle.
