TRIVANDRUM: Albeit knowing the dormant state of the much-touted Silverline project, the Kerala CM now spouting words of hope is just a mere show of vanity, opined BJP president K Surendran. The Silverline project is mired in corruption, and such an initiative will not see any kind of support from the central government, Surendran said.

“The policy address from the governor is just a recital of a mere script prepared by the government that never touched reality. The economy of the state is in tatters and it is only with the help of central government that Kerala continues somehow to push its development projects. “ Surendran quoted. The BJP president ridiculed the policy address that showered praise on Kerala police as the best in the country. “The unholy nexus between gang criminals and police officers were even approved by the government. Still the government is undermining the public conscience with such dubious claims”, Surendran stated.

He also mentioned many police officers who are in cahoots with PFI workers in the state, which helped the banned outfit leaders to escape before an arrest.
