KOCHI: Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan said the state will organise 'Festival Kerala' to showcase its heritage, art, culture and tourism potential, along with investment opportunities, to the world. He was speaking at a function organised by the Hormis Memorial Foundation to mark the 18th death anniversary of K.P. Hormis, founder chairman of Federal Bank.
"The event will not be limited to a cultural programme. It will also focus on promoting investments, tourism and entrepreneurship, while showcasing Kerala's talent and potential to the world," Satheesan said.
"Through the 'Reimagining Kerala' initiative, the government aims to bring comprehensive changes to the state's infrastructure and key sectors in line with modern times. Timely changes are needed in sectors including education, healthcare, tourism, sports, public welfare, senior citizen welfare and women's safety," the CM said.
The Chief Minister also praised Federal Bank's contributions to the state's banking sector.
Federal Bank Chairman Elias George and Managing Director and CEO K.V.S. Manian also attended the function.
