SSR to follow SIR in Kerala and other states; draft electoral rolls on November 12

NEW DELHI: The Election Commission of India has ordered the annual Special Summary Revision (SSR) of electoral rolls in 14 states, including Kerala, and three Union Territories.

The existing Form 6 will be used for the enrolment of new eligible voters. The draft electoral rolls will be published on November 12, 2026, and the deadline for filing claims and objections is December 11. The final electoral rolls are scheduled to be published on January 4, 2027.

The exercise will also cover states scheduled to hold Assembly elections next year.
