Pinarayi Vijayan's residence in Thiruvananthapuram

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Enforcement Directorate (ED) team visited the residence of former Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Saturday and pasted the summons paper on the walls following the standard procedure. The summons was pasted around 1:00 PM at the rented house located at Bakery Junction in Thiruvananthapuram. Neither Pinarayi Vijayan nor any of his family members were present at the house when the officials arrived. The notice was pasted as no one was available to receive it.

The notice directs Pinarayi Vijayan to appear for questioning at the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) Kochi office next Friday. A notice had previously been sent by post; in addition to this, officials now arrived in person at his residence.

Following this development, CPM State Secretariat Member V. Sivankutty visited Pinarayi’s residence. The ED is proceeding with these swift actions as no court has granted a stay on the investigation.
