KOCHI: Freddy V Francis, the Kerala-based social media content creator known for his staunch politics against the Narendra Modi government, has decided to part ways with the Cockroach Janata Party.
“I would like to officially announce that I am no longer associated with Cockroach Janata Party Keralam in any official capacity and will not be involved in its future activities.
I sincerely thank everyone who stood with us and supported our efforts during the floods, protests, and various other initiatives.
The work we carried out together as a team laid the foundation for what the movement has become today. I remain proud of our collective efforts and the people who contributed to them.
However, I have serious disagreements with the organisation's fundraising practices, certain immature political statements, and decisions that I believe could undermine the secular socialist fabric of Keralam. I cannot endorse or take responsibility for such decisions, statements, or future activities.
My decision to step away does not mean stepping away from the values I believe in.
I will continue to stand for democracy, secularism, social justice, and the constitutional rights and freedoms of every citizen of India. My commitment to these principles remains unchanged.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me throughout this journey.”
Freddy V Francis was among the first to sow the seeds of CJP and the youth movement in Kerala and was actively involved in the protests that led to the resignation of former education minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
