No end to IPS reshuffling: Toofaan nodal officer Putta Vimaladitya appointed North Zone IG

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Frequent reshuffling of senior police officials continues in Kerala. Putta Vimaladitya, who served as the nodal officer of the UDF government’s anti-drug initiative ‘Toofan’, has been appointed as the Inspector General (IG) of the North Zone. Sateesh Bino will take charge as the IG of the Internal Security Division. Former Thiruvananthapuram Commissioner K. Karthik, who was earlier transferred to the Thrissur Range, has now been appointed as the DIG of Kannur Range.

Meanwhile, T. Narayanan, who was appointed as the Kannur Range DIG, has been moved to the Thrissur Range as DIG. The change was made after Narayanan and Karthik reportedly expressed inconvenience with their earlier postings. Ajith Kumar, who was the Palakkad SP, has been appointed as the SP of the Telecom Division. The post of Malappuram Crime Branch SP has been given to Mohanachandran Nair.

Arun K. Pavithran has been appointed as Kochi Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP). Mahesh Juvvanapudi has been appointed as the South Zone Vigilance SP. A. Shahul will take charge as the SP of the Economic Offences Wing in the Thiruvananthapuram Range. K.S. Shahanshah has been appointed as the Thiruvananthapuram DCP.
