Muskan, who murdered husband with lover's help, found pregnant during jail check-up

MEERUT: Muskan Rastogi, the accused in the case of drugging her husband and then dismembering his body, was found to be pregnant during a routine check-up in prison. Muskan Rastogi has been in jail for about a month. Medical Officer Ashok Kataria confirmed the information. An ultrasound test will be performed to know the duration of the pregnancy.

Muskan Rastogi's husband was living estranged from her for a long time. Rastogi, addicted to drugs, was living with her lover. Muskan feared the return of her merchant navy official husband to ruin her lifestyle. Her husband’s presence would make it impossible for them to do drugs at home.

Rastogi and her lover, Sahil, murdered Saurabh Rajput on March 4. After drugging him, they dismembered his body and dumped it in a large barrel covered in concrete. The accused said that they had been waiting for the opportunity to kill Saurabh for two years.

Muskan and Saurabh married after being in love for some time. Saurabh was willing to leave his family and even his job for Rastogi. Saurabh only came to know about Rastogi's wayward life after the birth of his daughter.

Saurabh was ready to end the relationship, but gave up the decision, minding the future of his daughter. Saurabh was murdered when he arrived to celebrate his daughter’s birthday party.
