ALAPPUZHA: The husband of Taslima Sultana, arrested in hybrid ganja seizure incident, has also been arrested. Her husband Sultana was taken into excise custody from Ennore in Chennai. The excise found that he is also involved in trafficking of drugs. Investigation revealed that Sultana has a mobile shop in Chennai and regularly visits places including Malaysia to bring goods here. The excise believe that Sultana may have brought the hybrid ganja from Malaysia. It is reported that more arrests will be made in the case.

The excise questioned Taslima's sister in the case. Her sister was questioned as part of gathering information. The excise concluded that she is not involved in the drug deal. The woman who helped to rent the vehicle was also questioned. The woman said Taslima had misused her ID cards which she gave for another purpose, when renting the car.

Taslima Sultana was arrested from Alappuzha with hybrid ganja worth Rs 2 crore in the beginning of April. Taslima had given a statement that she had handed over the ganja to Sreenath Bhasi and Shine Tom Chacko. The police have found that Taslima has connections with top stars of the film industry. The excise department had earlier received information that Sreenath Bhasi had used his female friend’s SIM card for hybrid ganja transaction. She is a native of Thiruvananthapuram. It was also found that the two had travelled abroad months ago.
