21 strange flower pots in Muhsin's bedroom; drug bust in Kollam

KOLLAM: The excise seized 21 cannabis plants that were grown in the guise of homegrown plants from a house in Karunagappally on Wednesday. Muhammed Muhsin (32) of the Cherukol Parampil house in Maruthoorkulangara, Karunagappally, was arrested in connection with the incident.

A search at Muhsin's house led by Karunagappally Excise Circle Inspector P. Anil Kumar found potted cannabis plants in the bedroom on the second floor. A total of 5kg of marijuana was seized in the inspection. Assistant Grade Excise Inspector A. Ajithkumar, Grade Preventive Officer S. Anilkumar, Civil Excise Officers S. Anshad, R. Akhil, S. Safferson, Women Civil Excise Officer S. Jayalakshmi and Assistant Excise Inspector Driver P.M. Mansoor were part of the excise group.
