IRITTY: Forest Minister A K Saseendran proposed to install AI defense walls to curb wild animal intrusion into Aralam farm. The Minister made this announcement after an all-party meeting held following the killing of a tribal couple by a wild elephant in Aralam.

AI systems like the one installed at Pulpally in Wayanad will be tested in Aralam in Kannur. The minister also stated that more surveillance cameras and lights will be installed on the farm. More RRT teams will be deployed and immediate action will be taken to expedite the construction of the elephant wall.

Solar fencing will be installed to prevent wild animals from entering residential areas. Dependents of the deceased couple's family will be given temporary employment. A meeting of people's representatives and forest and public works officials will be held in Thiruvananthapuram this month to discuss the issues.
