ALAPPUZHA: A model and a former reality show star from Kochi will be questioned on Monday in the hybrid cannabis case. Their details have not been released. The notices were handed over to them by the excise department directly. Actors Shine Tom Chacko and Sreenath Bhasi were also given notice to appear on this day.

The Alappuzha Chief Judicial Magistrate Court remanded Kannur native Taslima Sultana (Christina-43), her husband Sultan Akbar Ali (43), and her accomplice Mannancherry native K. Firoz (26) in the case. The accused were produced in court on Thursday afternoon, led by Assistant Excise Commissioner Ashok Kumar.

The Excise will collect information from the reality show star and model based on evidence obtained through scientific examination from Taslima Sultan's phone and recovered chats. Those who got notices confirmed about having financial transactions with Taslima. It should be confirmed whether this was made for procuring drugs. The investigation team is in haste to file a chargesheet and start the trial within a month.
