KANNUR: KPCC chief Sunny Joseph did not rule out the possibility of K C Venugopal becoming the chief minister if the UDF comes to power in the state. He was responding to a question about whether it is possible for an outsider among the MLAs to become the chief minister. If the party takes a decision, everyone will accept it. He also clarified that there will be no deputy chief minister post in the UDF.
Sunny Joseph also challenged to prove that he wrote the letter against K Sudhakaran. He said that he has already filed a complaint with the DGP regarding this fake letter. He also asked if anyone can prove that he wrote the letter. He said that if appropriate action is not taken on the complaint filed with the DGP, he will approach the high court along with the opposition leader.
He added that he will prove to the people of Kerala that this is another fake campaign similar to the 'Kaffir screenshot' controversy in Vadakara. He alleged that such a letter is being circulated from centers that aim to destroy the Congress. He also reminded Kunhalikutty’s statement that the league does not want the deputy chief minister's post. The delay in getting land for the construction of houses in Wayanad has hindered the construction of houses. He clarified that there has been no misappropriation of funds or corruption in this regard.
