P Madhavan, father of actress Kavya Madhavan, passes away

CHENNAI: Actress Kavya Madhavan's father, P Madhavan (75), a member of the Pallikkara family of Nileshwaram, Kasaragod, passed away. He was the owner of Supriya Textiles. Madhavan passed away in Chennai. It is reported that the funeral will be held later in Kochi.

Madhavan was a ubiquitous presence around Kavya during the initial days of film career. He used to accompany the actress to film sets and stage shows. In many of her interviews, Kavya Madhavan revealed how her father help shaped her career and came to her aid during turbulent times.
