'Patriot' pirated version surfaces online; Police register case

KOCHI: Allegations surfaced that Patriot movie, starring superstars Mammootty and Mohanlal, surfaced online after a theatre version got leaked. The cyber police registered a case on a complaint filed by producer Anto Joseph.

The complaint is that the movie was circulated through various online sites since Tuesday. The movie, which saw the reunion of the two big superstars of the industry after a long hiatus, earned 61.25 crores globally in the first three days.

The movie, written and directed by Mahesh Narayanan, was made at Rs 125 crores. Anto Joseph admitted that the pirated version appearing online led to financial loss.
