THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said the approval of the centre is mandatory for the Silver Line project. There are some among us hindering the development activities. We should be able to reveal their intention. The Centre would be reluctant to give sanction when the BJP stage massive protests here, the chief minister said while speaking at a development seminar organised in Vilapilsala.
It is not about achieving everything, it is about achieving the right things. We can move forward only if the centre takes a favourable stand. When the BJP protests here, the centre will be reluctant to give permission. We should not be silent on political struggles. We should be able to expose their intention, he said.
The opposition fears that the implementation of development activities will harm them. Theirs is a narrow stand. Right-wing forces are trying to create communal and racial polarization in the society.
People should be able to assemble and defend in a good way. The centre’s stand is not to support our development activities. People will accept things that improve their lives, he said.
