CHENNAI: Popular Malayalam film director and actor Venu Nagavally’s wife, Meera, passed away on Saturday evening. She was 68. Meera, a native of Chendamangalam, was currently in Alwarpet, Chennai, with her son Vivek. As per reports, she was undergoing treatment due to illness.
Film Employees’ Federation FEFKA condoled the death. The final rites were held at Chennai on Sunday.
It was in 2010 that veteran director and actor Venu Nagavally died due to a prolonged liver ailment. Venu Nagavally’s oeuvre is replete with all genres of movies, including classics that are still revered today by movie buffs. He wore many hats, including as a writer, which was put to best use in the superhit movie ‘Killukkam’, a classic that Mollywood would cherish forever.
