ALAPPUZHA: BJP state vice-president MT Ramesh has criticized the police over the delay in arresting the accused in the Renjith Sreenivasan murder case. "If you are afraid to touch the Popular Front activists, if you are afraid to arrest them, then we are ready to do the job neatly. However, there will be some damages and you should take up the responsibility for that," he said.

MT Ramesh made the provocative speech during the BJP's protest march to the Alappuzha SP office to protest the delay in arresting Renjith Srinivasan's killers. In his speech, MT Ramesh said that BJP workers were working in the party by anticipating attacks by SDPI and Popular Front activists at any moment.

Two of the 12 people directly involved in the murder of Renjith Srinivasan were taken into police custody today. Earlier, BJP state president K Surendran had demanded that the probe be handed over to a central agency.
