Fire breaks out at bakery in Cherthala, estimates loss of Rs 15 lakh

ALAPPUZHA: A fire broke out around 3.30 am in a bakery operating in the commercial complex of Cherthala municipality. The newspaper agents were the first to see the fire. They informed the fire force and the owner. Dinu Mon, the bakery owner and the locals reached the spot. Later, the fire force arrived and extinguished the fire.

90 percent of the equipment and goods inside the bakery were destroyed. Around Rs 15 lakh loss is estimated. Dinu Mon has lodged a complaint with the Cherthala police. The initial conclusion is that the cause of the fire is short circuit.
