KOLLAM: The chargesheet for Dr. Vandana's murder will be delayed as per reports. Results of many chemical tests are awaited while many other reports of scientific evidence are also expected in the coming days. According to insiders, the whole process will take months to complete.

Sandeep is the lone accused in the case. He was brought to his home and the Taluk Hospital premise as part of the investigation procedure. Currently, Sandeep is under judicial custody till the 23rd of this month.

More than 200 statements from people have been taken by the police. The police will also reach to the school where Sandeep worked as a teaching faculty. The statements from the students will also help in understanding the nature of the culprit and his approach to students.

On the day of the incident, Sandeep was sober. The search is ongoing to confirm whether he was under the influence of any other drug on the day of the murder. The charge sheet will get to the final stage if Sandeep reveals the reason why he grabbed the surgical knife and stabbed Vandana. On the 23rd, Sandeep will appear before the magistrate in an online hearing session.
