Ajmal assaulted and abused young couple in Kozhikode; complainant identifies one of the accused

KOZHIKODE: One of the 5 accused, who attacked a young couple in Kozhikode on Sunday night, has been identified. The accused has been identified as Kozhikode Naduvattam native AP Muhammad Ajmal. Ashwin, the complainant, has identified the accused. It was Ajmal who attacked Ashwin and verbally abused Ashwin's wife. The police have recorded his arrest. Ajmal will be produced in court after a medical examination.

The incident took place on Sunday night at the traffic signal near Christian College in Kozhikode City. Ashwin and his wife were returning home after watching a movie when Ajmal and the gang followed them and harassed the woman. The gang attacked Ashwin for questioning the harassment.
