Muvattupuzha accident case: Accused to face KAAPA charges, license and RC will be revoked

MUVATTUPUZHA: The Motor vehicle department has taken action against the accused in the death of a college student who was hit by a speeding bike while crossing the road. Anson Roy's license and RC of the bike will be cancelled.

Anson was also injured in the accident. He will be arrested once he is discharged from the hospital. In addition to the murder charge the police may also charge KAAPA against Anson. There are reports that Anson Roy is a habitual offender and accused in four cases including an attempt to murder.

The accident happened on tuesday at 5 pm in front of Nirmala College in Muvattupuzha. The dead has been identified as Namitha R, a final year BCom student, daughter of Reghu of Valakam Kunnakkal Vadakkepushpakam. Her friend, Anusree Raj, daughter of M D Jayarajan of Kottayam Poovakulam Manimala, sustained injuries.
