Abigail was all smiles seeing mother in video call, relief for Jonathan; people rejoice in front of house

KOLLAM: There is an atmosphere of relief in Abigail’s house now. Her mother Ciji spoke to Abigail in a video call a few minutes back. The child, who was a bit worried, smiled when she saw her mother. Abigail's brother Jonathan also had a smile of great relief on his face. Seeing the child's happiness, Ciji picked up the phone and showed it to the relatives, locals and the media who were at home. The people are seen rejoicing outside the child’s house.

The accused abandoned the child at Kollam Ashramam Grounds. The students of S N College saw the child first and there was a woman with her at that time. The police have intensified search for the accused. The police investigation centred on the phone call seeking ransom and the sketch. The police had searched the houses in the Pallikal area.

The police also released a sketch of one of the accused. Meanwhile, the CCTV footage of the child being abducted also came out. The CCTV footage shows a man watching the child being kidnapped. The police also conducted an investigation to find him. He also needs to be identified before the accused can be found.

After the boy went missing from Kollam, the police had intensified search in Kollam-Thiruvananthapuram. Although the information was forwarded to all the police stations in the state, the investigation mainly focused on Kollam and Thiruvananthapuram.

The locals along with the police joined in the search operations. Abigail is the younger daughter of Reji John and Ciji in Ottumala Reji Bhavan near Pooyapally Kattadimukku. Reji is in-charge of dialysis at Pathanamthitta Muthoot Hospital. and Ciji, a nurse in Kottiyam KIMS. The child was abducted in a white Honda car with a fake number plate.
