THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The suicide note of the doctor found dead in a rented flat in the capital city, has been found. The dead is Shehna (27), daughter of late Abdul Aziz of Maitri Nagar Naz Mansil and Jamila of Venjaramoodu, a second year PG doctor in the department of surgery. She committed suicide after injecting a strong dose of anesthesia. The police have found the bottle of medicine, syringe and the suicide note from her room.

'Vapa has gone, I am left alone, I don’t have anyone to pay a huge amount as dowry. Love has no price on this earth. Everything is for money,' mentioned her suicide note. Shehna was found dead in the room in a search conducted after she failed to appear for night duty.

Her family alleged that Shehna took the extreme step after her lover, a doctor backed out from the marriage in the name of dowry. Shehna's family said they asked for a huge dowry and had informed that the marriage would not take place if it was not given.

Shehna had night duty in the surgery ICU on Monday. When she did not appear, her friends tried to call her but she did not pick up the phone. They later reached the flat but the door was locked from inside. They pushed open the door and found Shehna lying unconscious. She was immediately rushed to the medical college hospital but was declared dead. Police have registered a case of unnatural death in the incident.
