Youth attempts to strangle elderly woman to steal her gold chain; CCTV visuals are out

AMARAVATI: The police are conducting a search to find the cable technician who attempted to strangle an elderly woman to steal her gold chain. The incident took place at Gavarapalem in Andhra Pradesh on January 26.

The CCTV footage of the incident has surfaced. The accused used to frequently come to the house of the 67-year-old woman. The CCTV footage shows the man attempting to strangle the woman sitting on a sofa with a towel and trying to steal the gold chain.

The police later registered a case on the complaint lodged by the elderly woman's family. The police have intensified the search to find the accused, who went into hiding after the incident.
