NEW DELHI: The protest staged by the ruling LDF of Kerala against the centre for neglecting the state will start at 11 am on Thursday. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, state cabinet members, MLAs and MPs are taking part in the protest at Jantar Mantar n New Delhi. The protest which begins at 11 am will end at 1 pm. Everyone will reach the protest venue from Kerala House.
Apart from the Congress, the leaders including the chief ministers of the main national parties of the country will come to support Kerala. Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge was invited but Pinarayi Vijayan confirmed that he will not attend. The chief minister in a press meet convened at the Kerala House the other day said the reason may be the pressure from Congress leaders in Kerala.
‘Pinarayi Vijayan stated in the press conference that the aim of this struggle is to secure what we deserved. The struggle has no colour of party politics. This struggle is essential for the survival and progress of Kerala. This is to protect the constitutional rights not only of Kerala, but of states in general,' he added.

The chief minister criticized the Congress of Kerala for not cooperating in the protest. He criticised pointing the support of Congress-ruled Karnataka. He thanked Karnataka for their approach. Knowing the attitude of the Congress leadership in Kerala towards the protest, Karnataka openly supported it. This is also a reply to the Congress in Kerala. The opposition was first consulted to decide on the protest, but the reply was negative. I don't understand why they are not cooperating, he said.
