Thiruvananthapuram airport to fly high, planning to operate 716 weekly services in six months

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Thiruvananthapuram International Airport has announced its summer schedule with 17 percent more weekly flights than the previous winter schedule. A total of 716 weekly services will be operated from March 31 to October 24. Currently, it is 612.

New destinations like Hanimaadhoo in Maldives will be on the schedule. More domestic services will be launched to Bengaluru, Delhi and Hyderabad and more international services will be launched to Abu Dhabi, Dammam, Kuwait and Kuala Lumpur.

The existing 268 international weekly services will be increased to 324 during the summer. They are Thiruvananthapuram - Abu Dhabi: 96, Sharjah - 56, Muscat - 28, Dubai - 28, Doha - 22, Bahrain - 18, Kuala Lumpur - 16, Dammam - 14, Singapore - 14, Colombo - 10, Kuwait - 10, Malé - 8, Hanimaadhoo - 4.
