Compassionate appointment: Those in service should also give consent letter

secretariat

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The newly introduced provisions for the appointment of dependents of government servants have been made applicable to those already in service. Those who got compassionate appointments should give a consent letter to the head of the office stating that they would protect other dependents of deceased employees. If the employee is found violating this, 25 per cent will be deducted from his/her salary and paid to other dependents.

Those who get compassionate appointments should protect the mother, father, widow and widower of the deceased employee throughout their lives and their siblings until they reach adulthood.
