Heavy rains: District collector declares holiday for educational institutions in Kuttanad taluk

ALAPPUZHA: As the water level has not gone down and the inflow of water from the east has not reduced, the district collector has declared a holiday for the educational institutions in Kuttanad taluk on June 29. This is after taking the safety of the children into consideration.

The holiday will be applicable to all educational institutions including professional colleges, anganwadis and tuition centres. Educational institutions running relief camps in the district will also remain closed. The district collector informed that there will be no change in the pre-scheduled examinations.
