Woman, son found dead in Palakkad

PALAKKAD: A woman and her son were found dead at Kottayi Chennangad Pallur Kavil in the district. The two identified as Chinna (75) and her son Guruvayurappan (40) were found dead Monday morning at 7 am. Chinna was found dead in her home and her son was found hanging in a tree near the house.

The initial conclusion is that the son may have committed suicide after knowing mother’s death.

Chinna was down with fever and was undergoing treatment at a private clinic in Kottayai for the past three days. Police said that only after getting the postmortem report, the cause of Chinna’s death would be ascertained. Finger print experts have reached the place.
