Attingal MLA O S Ambika’s son dies in accident

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Attingal MLA O S Ambika's son V Vineeth (34) died in an accident. The accident happened Sunday morning at 5.30 near Pallipuram Muzhuthiriya roundabout. A car from Varkala proceeding towards Thiruvananthapuram airport collided with Vineeth’s bike which was coming in the opposite direction. The reason for the accident is not clear. Road works are going on in the area.

Vineeth's friend Akshay, who was pillion riding, sustained serious injuries and is undergoing treatment in the hospital. Vineeth was an employee of Edackode Service Cooperative Society and a member of CPM Edackode Local Committee. His father is K Varijakshan, CPM Attingal area committee member. His brother is V Vineesh, a member of CPM Thiruvananthapuram district committee and former state president of SFI.

Vineeth, who sustained serious injuries was rushed to the hospital, but his life could not be saved. The Kazhakoottam police have taken further steps. After completing the procedures in Thiruvananthapuram Medical College, he will be cremated in the premises of his house later today.
