Mammootty-Shaji Kailas' evergreen hit Valyettan is all set for a re-release on November 29. Ambalakkara Films is re-releasing the film produced by Baiju Ambalakkara under the banner of Ambalakkara Films 24 years ago to the theatres again on November 29 with the visuals of 4K Dolby Atmos. Released on August 31 in 2000, 'Valyettan' was released in about forty theatres in Kerala alone at that time. 'Valyettan', a box office hit, earned record collections and was screened in theatres in Kozhikode, Ernakulam and Thiruvananthapuram for 150 days.

After the historic success of Narasimham, Shaji Kailas gave Mammootty a hit in a similar way through Valyettan. Shaji Kailas said that people still like bringing a feudal element to cinema. For example, even Lucifer was like that. Everyone likes feudal people in films. Criticisms should be avoided. The only factor is whether the film is a hit or not. Let those who don't like it say their opinion, we just do what we know how to do, Shaji Kailas said.

One can learn a lot while working with actors like Mohanlal. Usually, the cameraman calls after setting the lights before the shot. Mohanlal enters and looks at everything first. He looks at where one should stand, where should one say the dialogue. He catches the light while walking. No one knows this. Even if the opposite artist comes, Mohanlal will slowly move them aside. He does all that along with acting. If you notice it again, will understand. Shaji Kailas said that he learned these three things from Mohanlal.
