NEW DELHI: As a part of the birthday week celebrations of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah swept the floors at Delhi AIIMS on Saturday. Several other leaders of the BJP were also seen participating in the program, titled 'Seva Saptah,' with Amit Shah. The leaders also distributed food among the inmates of the hospital.
"BJP's Seva Saptah programs will start from today onwards. Our Prime Minister has dedicated his life for the country and its people. That's why we have decided to celebrate his birthday week as Seva Saptah," Shah said.
The BJP has planned a week-long program in order to celebrate the PM's 69th birthday which is on September 17. General Secretary Arun Singh had said that the leadership would monitor the Seva Saptah programs that will be conducted across the country. The party has planned various programs such as blood donation camps, free health check-ups and distribution of food among orphans as part of the PM's birthday week celebration.
