KOCHI: The preliminary post-mortem report of late actor Kalabhavan Navas has come out. The report states that a heart attack was the cause of his death. The actor passed away on Friday night at a hotel in Chottanikkara. The report also stated Navas had shown symptoms of heart-related issues earlier as well.

The post-mortem was conducted at Kalamassery Medical College in Ernakulam at 10 a.m. on Saturday. Navas was found lying near the door of his hotel room. The door was not locked. It is suspected that he may have collapsed while attempting to step outside to seek help. He also sustained a head injury from the fall. The hotel room boy was the first to discover him lying motionless.

Navas had returned to his room after completing a film shoot and was preparing to take a shower. He had just wrapped up filming for the movie Prakambanam. As there were no shoots scheduled for the next two days, he had gone to the hotel room to collect his belongings and leave for home. He had been staying in the same hotel room for the past 25 days along with other cast members of the film.

After returning to the hotel, Navas had informed the staff that he would check out at 8 p.m. When he failed to show up even by 8:30 p.m., the staff went to his room to check on him. The hotel owner stated that Navas was still alive when he was being rushed to the hospital.
