Monson used swindled money to lead a luxurious life; interrogation continues, crime branch chief to reach Kochi today

KOCHI: The interrogation of Monson Mavunkal arrested in an antiquities fraud case, is continuing. Crime branch chief S Sreejith will arrive in Kochi today to assess the investigation. Monson will be produced in the court at 4.30 pm today as his custody tenure ends. The investigation team have decided to get him back into custody again.

The investigation team had earlier raided Monson's homes in Kochi and Cherthala seeking details on the documents forged. The team will ask him about the evidences obtained from these places.

The crime branch is also investigating about the land dealings of Monson Mavunkal. The team will also examine the bank accounts of Monson and his employees. No huge amounts were found in the accounts so far. The investigation team said Monson used the money swindled to lead a luxurious life. He was not very close with his own family.
