Kerala records 8867 COVID-19 cases on Friday, 67 deaths

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 8867 COVID-19 cases on Friday. Among these, 8434 persons developed the disease through contact, including 337 cases without an identified source of infection. 32 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 64 health workers contracted the disease on Friday.

9872 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 94,756 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 67 deaths due to the virus on Friday with the toll rising to 26,734.

Ernakulam 1377, Thiruvananthapuram 1288, Thrissur 1091, Kozhikode 690, Kottayam 622, Kollam 606, Malappuram 593, Alappuzha 543, Kannur 479, Idukki 421, Palakkad 359, Pathanamthitta 291, Wayanad 286, Kasaragod 221.
