After brutally abusing her, Naseer hanged her from an iron hook on the roof of the room.

The district crime branch took up the case after complaints were raised alleging mystery. The then Crime Branch DySP and present Thiruvananthapuram Control Room ACP R Prathapan Nair conducted a scientific investigation and found that sexual harassment and murder had taken place.

More than fifty wounds were found on Tinchu's body.

The blood sample taken from the nails of the dead body proved to be the turning point in the probe.
