Five arrested in Shan murder case, more arrests to be made soon in connection with Ranjith murder, says ADGP

ALAPPUZHA: The police have recorded the arrest of the five accused in the Shan murder case today. This brings the total number of people arrested in the case to 13. All are BJP-RSS activists.

The arrested are Athul OS (27) from Mannancherry in Komalapuram, Vishnu K (28), Dhanesh D (25) from Aryad in Komalapuram, Abhimanyu KU (27) from Pathirappally and Sanand KU (36), a native of Mannancherry.

"The police have received crucial evidence in connection with the murder of BJP leader Ranjith Srinivasan. More arrests will be made soon", ADGP Vijay Sakhare said.

Meanwhile, Union Minister V Muraleedharan criticized the government for the accused leaving Kerala.
