Fire breaks out at private company in Kalamassery

KOCHI: A major fire broke out near Kinfra in Kalamassery. The fire broke out at a private company named Greenleaf Extraction Pvt Ltd near Kalamassery Medical College. The company’s oil tank caught fire.

The fire broke out Wednesday morning at 6 am. The locals first noticed the fire and informed the fire force. All efforts are progressing by various units of Kochi city to douse the flames. Although the fire units had reached the place, the fire is spreading fast. Fire units from various parts of the district have been demanded to reach the place. No preliminary conclusion has been reached as to how the fire broke out. As KINFRA operates within the industrial park, several companies nearby are functioning. All steps are being taken to prevent the fire from spreading to more places.
