THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Police have recovered their Twitter account hacked by a group called Oak Paradise within hours. The official Twitter account of The Kerala Police was hacked on Twitter around 8 pm yesterday.

But within hours, police recovered the account. The Kerala Police has 3.14 lakh followers on Twitter. Hackers have removed all tweets from the account that's active since 2013. But the police have recovered all the tweets deleted by the hackers.

Groups of hackers are now active in hacking such accounts, which have many followers, in order to gain popular support for modern investment methods such as NFT and crypto. Police believe that such a group is behind this.

The account retweeted pro-NFT tweets after hacking and renaming it.

However, the existence of cyber security threats, even to police accounts, has been questioned by many. Therefore, it is learned that a detailed investigation will be carried out into the incident.
