Covid concerns on the rise in country; 17,336 new cases in 24 hours

NEW DELHI: The country reported 17,336 fresh Covid cases in the last 24 hours. With this, the number of people undergoing Covid treatment has gone up to 88,284. So far, 4,33,62,294 cases have been reported. Last day, 13 Covid deaths were recorded, raising the death toll to 5,24,954. The recovery rate has rose to 98.60 per cent, said the union health ministry. The daily Test Positivity Rate (TPR) is 3.94 per cent.

Meantime, 3,981 Covid cases were reported in Kerala, the other day. When compared to last day’s figures, there has been a hike of 91 cases. The Covid cases have crossed 3,000 for three days in a row. Currently, 25,969 people are undergoing treatment. Seven Covid deaths were recorded, raising the total death count to 69,935.
