THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister Antony Raju should resign as it is clear that he had tried to save a foreign national, who was arrested in a drug smuggling case, by manipulating the mainour, said BJP state president K Surendran. The government is trying to delay the trial of the years-old case in order to save the minister. The prosecution should intervene to speed up the trial. The government is intervening because they know that the minister would be jailed, if the court hears the case.

It is a shame for the state that a man, who helped to rescue the accused in the custody of court by unjustly taking his underwear and cutting it into pieces, is sitting in the cabinet. The minister who conspired and manipulated the documents has cheated the court.

It is shocking that the minister did not appear before the court, despite receiving summons for the past 16 years. A man, who has no respect for the country’s judicial system, is in Pinarayi’s cabinet, he said.

A self-attested document written to obtain the mainour is the biggest evidence against Antony Raju. The minister, who cheated the court, should resign immediately and face legal action, demanded Surendran.
