KOCHI: There was a major security scare amidst the journey of the chief minister. The chief minister’s convoy had to be stopped before the protestors. The car stopped when a youth congress activist jumped before the chief minister’s vehicle in Kakkanad. The activist who jumped with black flags hit the panes of the car many times with his hand.

The protesters jumped without coming in contact with the police. The security personnel were stunned for a moment but quickly moved the protester from the road. He left the usual attire of Youth Congress workers and came wearing a lungi. The police did not notice this attire.

Protesters waved black flags at the chief minister at several places in Ernakulam. The youth congress protested in Kakkanad, Kalamassery and Aluva. The chief minister arrived in the district to participate in the programmes held at Infopark and Government Press. The police arrested the protesters and removed them from the spot.
