Barbados has defeated Pakistan in the Commonwealth Games women's cricket match. Barbados won the match by 15 runs. This is the Caribbean country's first win at the Commonwealth Games.
Batting first, Barbados scored 144 runs for the loss of four wickets in the allotted 20 overs. In reply, Pakistan managed to score only 129 runs for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs.
Captain Hayley Mathews scored 51 runs and Kycia Knight scored an unbeaten 62 off 56 balls for Barbados. Nida Dar, who scored an unbeaten 50 off 31 balls, was the only one who resisted in the Pakistan team.
