Lightning strikes acid tank at zinc plant; one dead, nine injured

JAIPUR: A man was burnt to death after an acid tank exploded due to lightning. Nine people have sustained injuries. The incident took place in Rajasthan’s Chittorgarh district on Friday. The injured were immediately rushed to the district hospital.

The accident took place at Hindustan Zinc’s hydro plant. At least 10 people were critically injured in the explosion. They were soon rushed to the hospital but one person could not be saved. Efforts are made to identify the dead, said the police.
