THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala has topped the Union Ministery of Education's Performance Grading Index 2020-21. Kerala came first with 928 points in the Performance Grading Index.
The Performance Grading Index (PGI) report 2020–21 evaluates each state's performance based on several factors, including governance, infrastructure, and learning outcomes.
Taking to Facebook, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said the state’s top position in the Performance Grading Index is a recognition of the LDF government’s efforts to raise the standards of the general education system.
'Kerala made great strides in all criteria of the index. The state has been receiving several such recognitions for excellent growth in the field of education. We must shape a knowledge society where knowledge and skills go hand in hand. This recognition will strengthen those efforts,' the CM said.
